Arianespace’s Ariane 5 is a heavy-lift launcher. The Rocket is able to carry payloads weighing more than 10 metric tons to geostationary transfer orbit (GTO) and over 20 metric tons into low-Earth orbit (LEO). the Ariane 5 has a long history with a high degree of accuracy mission after mission a capability that has been proven by missions since the 1980s.
This capability of the Ariane 5 allows it to loft the many of the heaviest spacecraft either in production or on the drawing boards. The Ariane 5 enables Arianespace to launch many heavy telecommunications satellites for highly efficient dual manifest launches.
