An orbit is the trajectory of an object that is gravitationally curved, such as the trajectory of a planet around a star or a natural satellite around a planet. Normally, orbit refers to a regularly repeating trajectory, although it may also refer to a non-repeating trajectory.
There are various types of orbits.
- LEO Low Earth Orbit
- MEO Medium Earth Orbit
- GEO Geostationary orbit
- GTO Geostationary Transfer Orbit
- GSO Geosynchronous Orbit
- HEO Highly Elliptical Orbit
- TLI TransLunar Injection
- Low Lunar Orbit (LLO)
- Near Rectilinear Halo Orbits (NRHO)
